Weellllllllllllll we didn´t make it to Ouro Preto because some wise ass spilt it to Rotary and the big head boss bitches got wind of it and wouldn´t let us go. Yup, 2 hours before we were supposed to leave they call and say anyone who goes will be sent back home to their countries. We had everything (a house, like 12 people going, I had permission from my Rotary and my parents) all that lovely shit was thrown down the drain. Plus, we had to make a down payment on the house so I lost about $50 bucks which I´m not to happy with.
It wasn´t all that bad though. Kinga, Jeremy (another Rotary exchange student from Malaysia), and I went to Florestal (a really small city outside of Belo Horizonte) Actually it can hardly be classified as a city. I mean with barely a center, and made up of Brazilian guy wankers it was more like a pit stop. Despite all that it was still really fun!!!!! All we did was watch DVD´s all day, and go out and drink at night. The actual carnaval was pretty crappy consisting of a band that we didn´t like the music of so we would always go for 15 minutes and then go back in the `town` to drink! Pretty nifty! |

| Yet again it's been forever, and I do apologize for it. First off the Northeast trip was the awesomest trip ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had some problems with the stupid guides always nagging on us to speak Portugues and blah blah. It was quiet annoying and bitchy but we survived!!!!!!!!! I went home the 4th of February and rested for like two weeks. Seriously that's all I did. I changed host families too. Whooh hooh a house that finally has cable and internet access anytime of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definite bonus, and it's near the central and Kinga's house so I can just walk home whenever! I really loved my last host family (my host sister was the awesomest) and I will really miss her, but it's great to have cable! Next off is Carnaval where I will be spending 5 days in Ouro Preto with a bunch of other exchange students! Hopefully it will go off OK. Carnaval is much like a huge concert with music tons of drugs and drinking. It should be good. Well gotta go eat lunch. I'll try to keep this site up better in the future!

| Holy Shit I haven´t written in a while and soooooooooo much has happened, but can´t write about it now. I can only say in 4 more days I´m starting my trip throughout the Northeast of BRAZIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited because it´s going to kick ass. Keep you posted.

| HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
Is anyone else feeling the sadness of not being home for Thanksgiving.  Oh well I guess I will get over it. After all next week I am going to Belo Horizonte.  Yay!!!!!!!! I love Belo Horizonte, and maybe I will get to see my other buds there!!!!!!!!!! Not much happening here. I have a Rotary meeting tonight for something. Please sign my guest map!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks

| Well I think what people have to realize is that not everyday is going to be the time of your life. So far the novelty of being in a foreign country has worn off, and I am ready for something new. I dont know what, but just something. Brazil is a really cool place, and trust me I am exremely grateful to have this opportunity, but I tell it like it is here (all my frustrations and thoughts and everything) So here goes again. Yesterday I finally went to see my counselor, give him Graces address and phone number, and he finally called her!!!!! Yeah!!!! So I think I will be going down to see her on December 13. That is if nothing bad happens. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!!! Nothing much happened yesterday excpet that. Afterwards Kinga, me, my counselor, and his kids went to Tonis (again) Yikes I think I spend most of my money here on food. It is incredible how easy it is to spend money here. To Amy I am sorry I havent gotten her present yet. I know I know I have to get my butt in gear, but going into the central is so hard when it is sooooooooooooooooo hot and you have to walk everywhere. Today, however, I am resolute to go get it!!!!!! | | |
